Quakers Participate in DePauw Classic

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — The Earlham College men’s indoor track team had four individuals and a relay team place in the DePauw University Classic on Saturday

First-year Chad Wertman (Holland, IN/Southridge) was the top performer for the Quakers finishing fourth in the shot put with a distance of 46’5½.”

Sophomore Bo Braun (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) was next for Earlham finishing sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.66 seconds.

The other Quakers to score as individuals were sophomore Chris Shaw (Anderson, IN/Pendleton Heights) and senior Mark Boylan (Holliston, MA/Holliston). Shaw was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 46’0½” and Boylan finished eighth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:21.85.

Earlham’s Distance Medley relay team of first-year Adam Rozich (Eau Clare, WI/Altoona), junior James Haley (Bloomington, IN/South), first-year Jonah Kreniske (New York, NY/Martin Luther King) and first-year John White (Ann Arbor, MI/Huron) was seventh with a time of 12:25.12.
 
The University of Indianapolis won the 25-team event and Quakers finished tied with Butler University for 16th place.

Next for the Quakers is the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Friday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, March 1 at Denison University.
