Quakers Finish Season at Kenyon in NCAC Tourney

GAMBIER, Ohio — The Earlham College women’s basketball team ended its season with a 73-45 loss to Kenyon College on Tuesday night in the opening round of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.
Earlham finishes the year at 4-22 and regular season NCAC champion Kenyon is 20-6 as the Ladies advance in the semifinals of the tourney.
Junior Tracy Hill (Copley, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) led the Quakers with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while junior Tasha Merrill (Cedar Grove, IN/Franklin County) tossed in 10 points.
Senior Whitney McBurrows (Lansing, MI/J.W. Sexton) and sophomore Katy Buda (Mishawaka, IN/Mishawaka) added nine points each for Earlham.
The Quakers fell behind early in the contest 13-0 and later trailed 25-2 with 12:39 remaining in the first half. By intermission, Kenyon led 43-13.
In the second half the Quakers couldn’t get closer, but they did find some offense as Hill and Merrill had nine points apiece. Box score.
