More about women's basketball
In a move to affiliate itself with other colleges with like academic philosophies, Earlham joined the North Coast Athletic Conference in 1989.
While participants in the Quaker women's basketball program take their athletic commitment seriously, they are counseled to give academics top priority. Lara Singer received NCAC Scholar Athlete honors in recognition of being named Earlham's outstanding senior female student-athlete. In the classroom, the psychology major compiled a 3.59 grade-point average. On the court, she proved to be the most dominant rebounder in Earlham women's basketball history. Singer owns all of the Quakers' rebounding records with 785 in a career, 252 in a single-season, and 23 in a game. She also ranks fifth in Earlham career scoring with 995 points.
Belonging to the NCAA Division III, Earlham offers academic scholarships to qualifying students as well as need-based financial aid. For more information, contact head women's basketball coach Liana Coutts at 765/983-1486, or by e-mail.
