October 8, 2005
GRANVILLE, Ohio —
A score in the opening minute on Saturday gave the Earlham College field hockey team an early advantage, but it wasn’t enough as the Quakers were defeated by Wooster 3-1 on Comstock Field.

Senior Chrysalis Kendall (Ithaca, NY/ Alternative Community) scored Earlham’s goal with an assist from sophomore Liz Buehler (Hartland, WI/Arrowhead) . The Quakers led until Wooster tied the North Coast Athletic Conference contest midway through the second half and then added a pair of goals to seal the victory.

First-year goalie Katherine McDonough (Louisville, KY/St. Francis) had 12 saves for the Quakers.

Earlham (0-10, 0-7) faces Ohio Wesleyan University Tuesday at home. The NCAC match is at 4 p.m. Box score
