Quakers Face Ohio Wesleyan in NCAC Opener

DELAWARE, Ohio — The Earlham College field hockey team started play in the North Coast Athletic Conference Wednesday as the Quakers fell 2-0 at Ohio Wesleyan University .

Ohio Wesleyan scored late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. In the second half, the Quakers controlled the action. "We dominated in the first 15 minutes," Earlham Head Coach Jill Butcher said. "We just couldn't push a goal in and they scored on a breakaway."

Sophomore goalie Katherine McDonough (Louisville, KY/St. Francis) had four saves for the Quakers.

Earlham (0-2, 0-1) entertains Wooster on Sept. 9. The NCAC match starts at 1 p.m. on Comstock Field. Box Score.
