Quakers Face NCAC Foe Denison

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team faced North Coast Athletic Conference foe Denison University on Saturday as the Quakers lost 6-1.
Sophomore Cassie Gage (West Carrolton, OH/Fairmont) scored Earlham’s goal at 36:51 of the second period to make it a 4-1 contest before Denison added the last two goals.
Junior goalie Katherine McDonough (Louisville, KY/St. Francis) had nine saves for the Quakers.
Denison had a 20-7 edge in shots and a 10-8 advantage in corners.
Earlham (1-7, 0-7) visit Wittenberg University on Tuesday. The NCAC contest is at 5:30 p.m. Box score.
