Quakers Play Conference Match on the Road

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Earlham College field hockey team was defeated 4-1 by Wittenberg University in a North Coast Athletic Conference match on Tuesday.
Senior Anna Benfield (Takoma Park, MD/Montgomery Blair) scored Earlham’s goal in the second half with an assist from sophomore Cassie Gage (West Carrolton, OH/Fairmont).
Earlham junior goalie Katherine McDonough (Louisville, KY/St. Francis) had five saves.
The Quakers (1-8, 0-8) entertain Transylvania University on Saturday. The non-conference match gets underway at 2 p.m. Box score.
