2007 Team Awards Announced

RICHMOND, Ind. — Earlham College Head Field Hockey Coach Jill Butcher announced the team’s season awards for 2007 on Monday.
Sophomore Cassie Gage (West Carrolton, OH/Fairmont) was named Most Valuable Player after leading the Quakers in scoring this season with nine goals and three assists.
Junior Jill Karno (Plainville, CT/Plainville) was selected as the Most Improved Player.
The Outstanding Newcomer was first-year Ashley Hazen (Malvern, PA/Westtown).
Senior Anna Benfield (Takoma Park, MD/Montgomery Blair) received the Coach’s Award. Benfield had three goals in her final season with the Quakers.
