Quakers even record with victory at home

September 11, 2005
RICHMOND, Ind. —
A first half goal by first-year Abi Maycock was all of the offense the Earlham College women's soccer team would need Sunday afternoon as the Quakers defeated Rose-Hulman 1-0 on Matlack Field.

Maycock (Belfast, ME/Belfast Area) found the net at 34:44 with an assist from first-year Hillary Carter (Middletown, OH/Lakota East). Senior goalkeeper Kari Wilder-Romans (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) had six saves as she posted her first shut out of the season. Rose-Hulman out shot Earlham 9-8.

The Quakers (2-2) are at Franklin College on Wednesday. The non-conference match begins at 4 p.m. Box score
