Quakers comeback to tie Manchester College

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — A second half goal for
the Earlham College women’s soccer team tied Saturday’s
match against Manchester College, but that was the final offense
by either team
as the contest ended deadlocked at 1-1.
Sophomore Hillary Carter (Middletown,
OH/Lakota East) scored an unassisted goal for Earlham
at 52:41 after Manchester grabbed the early lead with a score at
15:27 in the opening period. It was the fourth goal of the season
for Carter.
Senior Kari Wilder-Romans
(Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) had seven saves for the
Quakers through regulation and the two extra sessions. Earlham
out shot Manchester
27-25.
The Quakers (3-2-1) play at home on Friday
against Berea College. The non-conference match begins at 4 p.m. Box
