Quakers play another overtime match

DELAWARE,
Ohio — The Earlham College women’s soccer team challenged one of
the top squads in the North Coast Athletic Conference on Wednesday
night, but the Quakers came up short as Ohio Wesleyan University
posted a 3-2 overtime victory.
Sophomore Hailee Carter (Middletown, OH/Lakota East)
scored Earlham's first goal. First-year Maddie Daskovsky (Chicago,
IL/Evanston Township) assisted
on the goal that gave the Quakers a 1-0 lead.
Daskovsky has three assists on the season and 11 points.
First-year Hillary Carter (Middletown,
OH/Lakota East) scored the second goal
for the Quakers extending her season scoring record to 19 and
point total to 44, which is
also a school standard.
Ohio Wesleyan (11-4, 5-2) tied the game 1-1 early
in the second half before Hillary Carter scored to put Earlham
ahead 2-1. The Bishops fought back to tie the contest at 2-2 late
in
the second period. The game-winning goal came at 95:50 in the extra
session.
Senior goalkeeper Kari Wilder-Romans (Ann Arbor,
MI/Pioneer) had 10 saves for the Quakers.
Earlham (8-8-1, 1-6) finishes its season on Saturday
as the Quakers entertain Oberlin College. The NCAC match starts
at 12:30 p.m.
on Matlack Field and is part of the Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. Box
