Sept. 16, 2006

HANOVER, Ind. — A pair of first half goals by first-year Emily Roth was all of the offense the Earlham women’s soccer teams needed on Saturday as the Quakers beat Hanover College 2-0.

Both of Roth’s (Evanston, IL/Evanston Township) scores were unassisted with the first coming at 31:47 with the second at 35:04.

Senior goalie Casie Byrd (Bloomington, IN/North) had five saves for Earlham to record her first shutout of the season as the Quakers out shot Hanover 17-7.

Earlham (3-3) visits Adrian College on Tuesday. The non-conference contest is at 7 p.m.
