Overtime Goal Gives Quakers Third Straight Win

OBERLIN, Ohio — First-year Emily Roth was credited with the game-winning score on Saturday, as the Earlham College women’s soccer team defeated Oberlin College 1-0 in overtime.

It was the third consecutive victory overall for the Quakers and sixth in the last seven matches, while also being their second straight North Coast Athletic Conference win.

Roth (Evanston, IL/Evanston Township) scored in the 97th minute of action and it was her fourth game-winner of the season.

Earlham senior goalkeeper Casie Byrd (Bloomington, IN/North) posted her fourth shutout of the season as she recorded three saves.

The Quakers (7-4, 2-1) entertain Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday. The NCAC affair on Matlack Field is at 4 p.m. Box Score.
