Quakers Play Ranked Team

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women’s soccer team fell for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon as No. 16 DePauw University defeated the Quakers 3-1 on Matlack Field.

DePauw scored a pair of goals in the opening half before the Quakers found the net at 26:12. Junior Maddie Daskovsky (Evanston, IL/Evanston Township) scored with an assist from first-year Karman Duchon (Decatur, GA/Decatur).

The Tigers added a goal later in the first period to finish the scoring. DePauw had a 17-5 edge in shots and an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.

First-year JoBeth Buckley (Berkley, MI/Berkley) had seven saves for the Quakers.

Earlham (2-1-1) plays Anderson University at home on Wednesday. The non-conference match starts at 5 p.m. Box score.
