Quakers Fall in Season Finale

WOOSTER, Ohio — The Earlham College women’s soccer team had its season come to an end on Saturday as the Quakers fell 2-1 to the College of Wooster in a North Coast Athletic Conference match.

Wooster scored a goal in the first half and added another in the second period before the Quakers got on the scoreboard.

Sophomore Callie Thompson (Louisville, KY/Dupont Manual) scored on a penalty kick at 79:17.

The shots were even at 8-8 with the Quakers holding a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.
First-year goalkeeper Megan Holthaus (Harrison, OH/McAuley) had three saves for Earlham.

Earlham finishes with a 12-5-1 record overall and 4-4 in the conference, which puts the Quakers in sixth place. The 12 wins are the most in Earlham history, while the Quakers set another school standard with 46 goals this season. Box score.
