WOMEN'S TENNIS
OHIO WESLEYAN 9, at EARLHAM 0RICHMOND, Indiana--The Earlham College women's tennis team took to the courts today as they hosted North Coast Athletic Conference opponent Ohio Wesleyan University. The Quakers, now 3-1 on the season, were defeated 9-0 by Ohio Wesleyan.
The NCAC match was the first spring contest for Earlham. Ohio Wesleyan dominated the match winning all six singles and three doubles matches.
Earlham netters Betsy Blundell (Milford, OH/Cincinnati Country Day), Diana Obst (Summit, NJ/New Jersey), Beirne Roose-Snyder (Albion, MI/Westown School) and Annie McGuigan (Plymouth, IN/Laville) all played their first collegiate match.
Earlham, 3-1 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC, will continue its 2002 campaign hosting IP Fort Wayne on March 3 at 1 p.m.
