Quakers Face NCAC Foes at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Earlham College women’s tennis team played a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference matches on Saturday at the Springfield Racquet Club.

The Quakers fell to Wittenberg University 9-0 and then dropped a 5-4 decision to The College of Wooster.

Against Wooster, sophomores Kate Unver (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) and Liz Byrd (Richmond, IN/Richmond) teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles.

In singles action, Byrd won at No. 2. Senior Emily Steele (Logansport, IN/Logansport) was victorious at No. 3, while junior Claire Rivron (Bloomington, IN/South) picked up a win at
No. 6.

The Quakers (3-6, 0-3) visit Manchester College on Thursday, April 13. The match begins at 3 p.m. Wittenberg Scoresheet. Wooster Scoresheet.
