N. MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Earlham College women’s tennis team rebounded after dropping a pair of matches last weekend with a 7-2 win over Manchester College.

Earlham started the match with victories in doubles by sophomore Kate Unver (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) and senior Emily Steele (Logansport, IN/Logansport) at No. 1. Junior Claire Rivron (Bloomington, IN/South) and first-year Amy Roederer (Fremont, IN/Fremont) won at No. 3.

The Quakers won five of the six singles matches. “It’s a good win for us to pull one like this out,” Earlham coach Justin Carrier said. “Everyone that played in a tiebreaker really came through.”

Unver won at No. 1, while Steele moved up a level to win at No. 2. First-year Birgit Kuba (Vienna, Austria) also played up one position and was victorious at No. 3. Rivron won at No. 5 and senior Lydia Hamilton (Bloomington, IN/North) picked up a victory at No. 6.

Earlham (4-6) is back on the road Monday at Wilmington College. The match starts at
4 p.m. Scoresheet.
