Quakers Fall at Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio — The Earlham College women’s tennis team played its first road match of the season on Tuesday as the Quakers dropped a 6-3 decision to Cedarville University.
Earlham’s No. 1 doubles team of senior Jenn Silver (Champaign, IL/Urbana) and first-year Rachel Hawkins (Midland, MI/Herbert Henry Dow) defeated Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure 8-6.
In singles, Hawkins beat Laura McCully 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2, while junior Kate Unver won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 over Melinda Workman.
Earlham (1-1) entertains Manchester College on Wednesday, March 28. The non-conference match starts at 3:30 p.m. Scoresheet.— EC —
