Bohall Leads Quakers at Anderson Invitational

ANDERSON, Ind. — Senior Sara Bohall won two events and anchored a winning relay team to lead the Earlham College women’s indoor track team on Saturday in the Anderson Invitational.

Bohall (Westport, IN/Columbus East) won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.58 seconds to break her own school record of 8.74 established in 2005 during her first-year with the Quakers. She also won the 400 with a time of 1:02.12.

First-year Alison McEmber (Newtown, CT/Newtown), sophomore Eirinn Cooper (Franklin, IN/International), first-year Rachel Dana (Columbus, IN/North) and Bohall finished first in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 4:21.55.

First-year Cristyn Wenn (Fairmount, IN/Madison-Grant) set an Earlham record in the high jump clearing 4’10” to finish second.

Earlham’s other participants to score Saturday were:
• Cooper, second, 800, 2:28.64.
• Senior Rebecca Tolmach (Atlanta, GA/Henry W. Grady), third, 1,000, 3:31.74.
• Senior Emma Abernathy (Atlanta, GA/Lakeside), third (tie), pole vault, 9’0.”
• Junior Allison Blaetz (Palantine, IL/William Fremd), third (tie), pole vault, 9’0.”
• Junior Michelle Crane (Mansfield, OH/St. Peter’s), fourth, 5,000, 19:43.29.
• First-year Ramona Hemmings (Cleveland, OH/Shaw), sixth, long jump, 13’5.”

Anderson University won the event with the Quakers finishing fourth of eight teams.

The Quakers participate in the DePauw University Classic next Saturday. The meet starts at 11 a.m.
