Team Awards for 2008 Announced

RICHMOND, Ind. — Senior Sara Bohall was named the Most Outstanding Performer for the Earlham College women’s track team on Thursday.

Earlham Head Coach Nick Johnson also announced two other team awards for the 2008 season. Junior Allison Blaetz (Palantine, IL/William Fremd) was the Most Improved Performer, while first-year Alison McEmber (Newtown, CT/Newtown) was the Most Outstanding First-year.

Bohall (Westport, IN/Columbus East) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Year after winning the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles during the North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University on May 1-2.

Blaetz finished eighth in the pole vault in the conference meet with McEmber taking fifth in the 400-meter dash and participating on two relay teams that scored in the event.
