Quakers compete in Rose-Hulman Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A drive accross Indiana marked
the first road trip of the season for the Earlham College women's
volleyball team as the Quakers fell twice on Friday in the Rose-Hulman
Invitational.
The Quakers lost 30-25, 30-22, 30-22 to Illinois College
in the opening round, while battling five sets with Transylvania
University in a 30-16, 29-31, 31-29, 13-30, 20-18 defeat.
"They played really hard," Earlham coach Natalie Alred
said of her squad's effort in the second match of the night.
The tournament wraps up on Saturday with Earlham
(1-6) playing Manchester College at 9:30 a.m. before tangling with
host Rose-Hulman
at 11 a.m.
