Quakers post third place finish at Rose-Hulman Tourney

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. —
After splitting a couple of matches on Saturday, the Earlham College
women's volleyball team tied for third place in the Rose-Hulman
Tournament.
Earlham defeated Manchester College 29-31, 30-23,
24-30, 30-22, 17-15 before falling to Rose-Hulman 30-21, 30-24, 21-30,
30-16.
Sophomore Jessica Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina)
was selected to the All-Tournament team. On Saturday she had 21 kills
against
Manchester and 11 against Rose-Hulman.
Also in the Manchester match junior Ashley
Govro (Greensburg, IN/North Decatur) had 28 assists with
18 digs, while sophomore Kaitlin Gentry
(Kent, OH/Roosevelt) had 21 assists. Gentry added 18 assists
in the Rose-Hulman match.
Earlham (2-7) is at Hanover on Tuesday. The non-conference
match begins at 7 p.m.
