Quakers start conference schedule at home

RICHMOND, Ind. — Opening North Coast Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, the Earlham College volleyball squad lost 30-23, 30-26, 30-19 to Denison University on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Jessica Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) led the Quakers with eight kills and 16 digs, while Ajia Coleman (Stone Mountain, GA/Maple Heights, OH) had six kills. Kaitlin Gentry (Kent, OH/Roosevelt) had 13 assists and 15 digs, while Ashley Govro (Greensburg, IN/North Decatur) added 12 assists and 12 digs.

The Quakers (2-10, 0-1) play Asbury at 5 p.m. on Friday in the first round of the Transylvania Tournament in Lexington, Ky. Box score
