Quakers play on the road in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Earlham College volleyball team opened play in the Transylvania Tournament with a pair of losses.

In the first round, the Quakers were defeated by Asbury College 30-25, 28-30, 30-23, 30-24 before falling to second round opponent Transylvania University 30-19, 28-30, 30-24, 30-21.

Earlham (2-12) returns to action today for the third and final rounds of the tournament. The Quakers face Kentucky State at 10 a.m. on Saturday and then play a yet to be determined opponent at noon or 2 p.m. depending on their record in the tourney.
