Quakers earn split in matches on final day of tourney

LEXINGTON, Ky. —
Earlham College's volleyball squad split a pair of matchs on Saturday
in the Transylvania Tournament.
The Quakers defeated Kentucky State
30-24, 30-17, 30-26 before falling to Wilmington College 30-16,
27-30, 33-31, 30-21.
Kathryn Evans (Milton, IN/Muncie Burris) was selected
for the All-Tournamant team. She had 30 digs and five service aces
on
Saturday.
Also on Saturday, Jessica Whitaker (Indianapolis,
IN/Scecina) had 17 kills and 31 digs, while Sara Prince (Dresden,
OH/Tri-Valley) added 12 kills. Ajia Coleman
(Stone Mountain, GA/Maple Heights, OH) had 11
kills.
Ashley Govro
(Greensburg, IN/North Decatur) led the way with 29 assists,
while Kaitlin Gentry (Kent, OH/Roosevelt) had 27 assists.
Earlham
(3-13) gets back on the court Wednesday on the road against
Wittenberg University. The North Coast Athletic Conference
match begins at 6 p.m.
