Quakers Post Conference Win Over Kenyon

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball picked up its first North Coast Athletic Conference victory of the season on Friday with a 30-12, 30-22, 30-23 win over Kenyon College.
Junior Lisa Vanderkolk (Bluffton, IN/Bluffton) led the Quakers with 16 kills, while junior Jessica Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) added 12 kills and 13 digs. “I'm very pleased with the win," Earlham Head Coach Natalie Alred said. "We came out and played pretty well and that was good to see.”
Junior Amanda Prewitt (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood) had 36 assists and Katie Evans (Milton, IN/Muncie Burris) had 15 digs with three aces. First-year Keeley McAnnis-Entenman (Portland, OR/Grant) added eight kills and two blocks. Senior Ashley Govro (Greensburg, IN/North Decatur) had 14 digs. “We’re getting better each day and they took care of business,” Alred said. “They’ve been working hard and they believe in themselves.”
The Quakers (8-2, 1-1) play Ohio Wesleyan University at home on Saturday. The NCAC contest is at 1 p.m. Box Score.
