Road Trip Ends With Victory Over Oberlin

Sept. 23, 2006

OBERLIN, Ohio — Juniors Lisa Vanderkolk and Jessica Whitaker had 14 kills each as the Earlham College volleyball team defeated Oberlin College 30-13, 30-18, 30-19 on Saturday to earn its second North Coast Athletic Conference win of the season.

Vanderkolk (Bluffton, IN/Bluffton) added 16 digs and three blocks, while Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) had 14 digs and a pair of service aces.

Junior Amanda Prewitt (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood) had 20 assists and 11 digs. Senior Ashley Govro (Greensburg, IN/North Decatur) contributed 19 assists and eight digs.

Sophomore Kathryn Evans (Milton, IN/Muncie Burris) led the Quakers with 20 digs. First-year Keeley McAnnis-Entenman (Portland, OR/Grant) had eight kills and three blocks.

Earlham (9-4, 2-3) returns to the court at Wittenberg on Wednesday. The NCAC match starts at 7 p.m. Box Score.
