Quakers Face No. 2 Wittenberg

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College volleyball team battled nationally second-ranked Wittenberg University Tuesday night on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
The Tigers (22-0, 6-0) won the North Coast Athletic Conference match 30-14, 30-16, 30-26 in front of an enthusiastic crowd of more than 500 fans as the Quakers (8-10, 2-4) wore pink uniforms to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Senior Lisa Vanderkolk (Bluffton, IN/Bluffton) led the Quakers with 10 kills and four blocks. Sophomore Keeley McAnnis-Entenman had three aces with senior Amanda Prewitt (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood) adding 18 assists.
Senior Jessica Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) led Earlham with 11 digs, while Prewitt and senior Kaitlin Gentry (Kent, OH/Roosevelt) finished with eight digs each.
Earlham visits Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday. The NCAC contest is at 7 p.m.
