Vanderkolk Named NCAC Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Ind.  — Earlham College senior Lisa Vanderkolk was honored by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Sunday as the Player of the Week for women’s volleyball.

Vanderkolk (Bluffton, IN/Bluffton) had 49 kills in three matches during the last week against Urbana University, the College of Wooster and Oberlin College. In the three contests, Vanderkolk had a hitting percentage of .280, while leading the team with nine blocks and contributing 37 digs.

This is the fourth time Vanderkolk has earned the weekly award from the conference. The senior is approaching 1,000-kill mark with 977 in her career.

Earlham (9-13, 3-6) plays at home on Tuesday against Denison University. The NCAC contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center begin at 7 p.m.
