Volleyball Coaches
Head Coach Natalie Alred
Natalie Alred enters her fifth season at Earlham College. During her 20 years as a head coach, she has posted a 364-325 mark.
Prior to coming to Earlham, the 1987 graduate
of Henderson State University served as the head women’s
coach at Colorado Christian and Letourneau University. Alred
began her career at Arkansas Tech
University in 1988 and earned a master’s degree from her
alma mater in 1992.
Another stop along the way was Tri-State University
in Angola, Ind., where she coached the men’s and women’s teams.
While in Angola, Alred earned a pair of National Coach of the Year
honors in 1997 and 1998. One year later, Tri-State won the MIVA/NAIA
National Championship in men’s volleyball.
In the last four seasons under Alred, the Quakers have 43 victories. In the three years prior to her arrival, Earlham had just eight total wins and never more than three in a season. Last season, the Quakers qualified for the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time since the event became a four-team affair in 2004.

Assistant Coach Jen Voltz
Jen Voltz begins her second season with the Quakers after graduating from Dickinson College in 2007 with a degree in mathematics.
Voltz was a setter for Dickenson from 2003-06. The 4-year letterwinner was All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention in 2004 and 2006. She ranks second in career assists at Dickinson with 2,642, while setting the single season record of 931 as a senior.
