About
our Alumni
Earlham
College is ranked 8th in the nation (among 1,302 U.S. institutions
of higher learning) in the percentage of graduates who go on to
receive Ph.D.s in the life sciences.
Our
graduates find careers related to their academic study. The five
fields most frequently entered are research, education, health
professions, conservation and the environment, and business.
For Alumni
The
Biology Department wants to stay connected with our graduates.
We treasure the e-mail updates you send us.
Alumni
can also stay connected with the college at large and their classmates:
- Career
Development Alumni Page
Career Development maintains a credentials file for Earlham
graduates. Also, you can join the Earlham Career Network and
help students and graduates find internships, learn about careers,
and make connections.
- Earlham
Externship Program
Volunteer to sponsor an Earlham student in an externship: a
3-5 day opportunity to shadow a professional in a career.
- Admissions
Volunteer Program
Join a network of over 600 Earlham alumni who serve the college
in various ways, including referring promising high school students,
conducting interviews with applicants who cannot come to campus,
representing the College at college fairs, and just talking
with prospective families about their own Earlham experience.
- Refer
a Student
The Admissions Office encourages student referrals from alumni
because they understand the kind of student who will succeed
at Earlham. Students referred to Earlham by alumni tend to apply
and enroll at a higher percentage than students who find Earlham
through other means.
- Alumni
Relations
Stay connected to the college: communicate with classmates by
e-mail, read news about alumni, learn about your class reunions,
and find ways to support Earlham.
