Midsem is coming up, which is lovely as it means time for relaxation. I’m looking forward to spending time with friends and sleeping in, as well as applying for jobs. Life has been fairly busy. Last week were midsem tests, and this weekend was 24hr Theater and the Sweethearts Dance.

24 Hour Theater is always an interesting production, there were slightly fewer plays this time round, but all of them were quite good. There are of course the moments of actors forgetting the lines they learned in the last four hours and other such hijinks, but overall it was a great performance. The play about noodling (cat fishing) was quite amusing. I’m always excited to be an audience member of 24 Hour Theater and it’s nice to see, as a graduating senior, that the tradition is still going strong. I expect many more wonderful productions in years to come.

The Sweet Hearts Dance was a bit after 24hr so we had time to go get dressed up. I had a wonderful time, both for danceable music and wonderful company. We wound up staying until almost the end of the dance, too, which I don’t ordinarily do.

Sunday was catching up on homework people had to put off due to 24 hour, and housekeeping. I cleaned my room and did laundry, so I’ll be able to start break/post midsem with a relatively organized space. Sunday night after Dance Alloy practice, which is coming along quite well, we watched Backstroke of the West, which was highly amusing, mainly due to everyone quoting along with the subtitles.

And winter has finally arrived, we’ve been getting cold weather with snow on and off and more is predicted. I liked our early spring, but wasps just shouldn’t be active in January so I’m glad February is acknowledging its winter schedule. Just as long as it doesn’t get icy.
