Bonner Resources:
Publicity Committee

Convener: Juan Navarrete

The publicity committee is a group of creative and hardworking Bonners who are enthusiastic about the community and their service to it. We have three main goals: 1) to acknowledge Bonners and develop a presence on the Earlham campus 2) to raise awareness in Richmond and Wayne county 3) and to promote the benefits of the Bonner program to incoming students. After years of dormancy, the publicity committee was revived in the spring of 2005. So far, we have successfully mounted a photo display in Richmond titled Richmond Community and Bonner Scholars: A Partnership in Personal and Community Enrichment which you can read more about here.

The publicity committee is responsible for planning and carrying out activities which help promote the Bonner Scholars Program and publicize the work of the agencies and organizations where Bonners serve.  The audiences for this publicity may be members of the Earlham community, people in Richmond and Wayne County or prospective Bonner Scholars.  The committee helps coordinate inclusion of regular profiles of Bonner Scholars in the campus newspaper, The Earlham word.

This committee will be establishing a regular schedule of meetings and will probably be meeting once or twice a month.
