Student Alumni Mentoring

One of the best ways students learn about options available to them after graduation is observing and reflecting on those who have come before. To this end, our office, in partnership with the Alumni Relations Office, coordinates a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with alumni: the Earlham Career Network (ECN).

For Students

Students who would like to access the mentors in ECN for mentoring and networking are encouraged to be in touch with Our Office for contact information. Simply provide our staff with keywords to search that include; specific locations (city, state), major area, graduation date, and/or job title. Once a list is compiled with information needed to be in contact with mentors (names, business information, phone numbers, and emails), it will be sent to you for your use. Please remember to be professional and respectful when using this service and making contact with mentors.

For Alumni

By completing the Alumni Update/Class Note Form, alumni are able to register for the Earlham Career Network and volunteer for a variety of mentoring opportunities. Options include:

  • Review a Student’s Resume
  • Be a Guest Speaker
  • Conduct Practice Interviews
  • Participate in Networking Events
  • Provide Career Guidance
  • Have a Student Shadow Me
  • Host a Field Trip
  • Post Jobs and Internships on QuakeConnect
  • Host a Student in My Home for a Night or Two

If you are an alum interested in speaking to an ECN mentor for advice and counsel, simply contact Our Office for a listing of appropriate contacts.
