I was Director of Counseling Services from January, 2004 to May, 2012. From 1998-2004, I was the Program Coordinator and Field Study Director for the HDSR major. Prior to coming to Earlham, I was a case management team leader working with adults with serious mental illness at Dunn Community Mental Health Center (now Centerstone). I received both my BSW and MSW degrees from the Indiana University School of Social Work and I am licensed by the State of Indiana as a Clinical Social Worker. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a therapy method very helpful in cases of PTSD and trauma.

I have a partner and we have one dog, Tory, a Sheltie/Pomeranian mix. I have 3 grown children. Both my daughters are surgeons and my son is a dentist. I love 60s rock music, especially the Beatles. I play guitar for fun, and I��m a serious Trekkie (original series). I��ve been a runner since 1986 and have completed 5 half marathons, most recently the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-marathon in Indianapolis on May 5, 2012. My older daughter also ran the race with me. She beat me by 45 minutes!
