General Education Requirements

Depending upon the semester and the instructor, many English Department courses may fulfill the General Education Requirements.

The Department offers six courses that fulfill a portion of The Arts Requirement, ENG 301, 307, 308, 321, 381 and 470; five courses that fulfill the Domestic component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement, ENG 206, 303, 304, 463 and 468; three courses that fulfill the International component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement, ENG 204, 464 and 468; and seven courses that meet the Comparative Practices Requirement, ENG 204, 206, 245, 302, 303, 304 and 305. The Department also offers Earlham Seminars.
