Environmental Programs

Program Options


Environmental Science. Students interested in the Environmental Science Major must complete all the requirements for a Major in one of three Natural Science disciplines: Biology, Chemistry or Geosciences.

In addition to the required and optional courses within the chosen discipline, students also must complete two to three interdisciplinary, environmentally-themed courses from this list:

Environmental Studies. Students interested in an Environmental Studies focus may choose from a variety of course options in both the Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as elect to pursue the Minor or a self-designed Major. Environmental Programs faculty are currently working on a major in Environmental Studies which would include the elements of the minor in addition to an introductory course, an internship requirement, and a senior project/capstone completed in cooperation with Environmental Science students.
