Academic and Social Expectations
All persons who choose Earlham make a commitment to conduct their lives responsibly, with regard for the honor and integrity of the community and for themselves as community members.
With the faculty, students share responsibility for preserving academic honesty. In social circumstances, students assume responsibility for regulating their conduct on Earlham's campus — and at all College-sponsored events — according to the Principles and Practices set forth in this Curriculum
Guide, the Student Handbook and the policy section of the Web site.
In both academic and social areas, the College's
expectations reflect the community's aspirations for life at Earlham.
Rules define the minimum guidelines for behavior at the College.
Students are encouraged to engage in confrontation and dialogue
when social and academic violations occur. Violations of rules
may subject the student to judicial action. In addition to the
Earlham Community Principles and Practices, the College expects
students to adhere to city, state and federal laws. |
