Earlham Hall, located in the center of campus and housing 95 students, reopened in the summer of 2009 after a complete renovation during the 2008-09 academic year. Many Student Development offices are housed on the first floor.
Olvey-Andis and Barrett halls, housing 116 and 144 students respectively, are similar in architecture and facilities. Bundy Hall, Earlham's oldest building with 164 student residents, has been completely renovated. Hoerner Hall houses 83 students.
Warren and Wilson halls, new in the fall of 1992, house a total of 105 students. Each hall contains a large kitchen, dining area, lounges and study areas. Mills Hall, opened in 2006, houses 132 students in a suite housing arrangement; it unites Warren and Wilson halls into a complex known as "The U." Mills offers several large lounge areas and community spaces as well as a kitchen and dining area on each floor.
The 28 College-owned houses surrounding the campus include four language houses, which are available for upperclass students interested in speaking French, Japanese, German or Spanish. Among the houses are several cultural centers: the Jewish Cultural Center, the Cunningham African American Cultural Center, the International Cultural Center, and the Latino and Asian American Cultural Center. Other Friendship and Theme Houses, which encourage students to build community, include Miller Farm, Service Learning House and Peace House. A full listing of College-owned houses can be found on the Residence Life Web pages or in the online virtual tour.
