Spanish and Hispanic Studies
General
Education Requirements
The Spanish and Hispanic Studies Department offers three courses that meet the Language component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement: SPAN 101, 102 and 201. Other courses may fulfill the Language component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement, such as SPAN 103. SPAN 455, 458 and occasional other courses meet the Domestic component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement. SPAN 307, 332, 333, 352 , 406 and occasional other courses meet the International component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement. SPAN 305, 332 and 353 fulfill the Arts Requirement as does the Art History course taught on the Spain program. In addition and when topics are appropriate, 400-level Spanish courses may fulfill the Comparative Practices Requirement or either component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement. |
