Students choosing to minor in Spanish and Hispanic Studies must complete:
18 hours of coursework at the 300-level or above that includes two courses at the 400-level, one of which must be conducted in Spanish and taken on campus.
AND
A language proficiency evaluation, generally taken during the spring of the Junior year.
With few exceptions, minors also participate on a semester-long off-campus program in a Spanish-speaking country. (Students may apply up to six semester hours of credit toward a Minor in Spanish and Hispanic Studies from off-campus study.)
