Theatre Arts

The Major

For the Major, students complete courses in all three focus areas:

• THEA 251 Introduction to Dance

• THEA 260 Acting I

• THEA 270 Theatrecraft

• THEA 350 History of Theatre I

• THEA 351 History of Theatre II

• Two upper-level electives in Theatre Arts
  (300-level or higher)

• At least six credits in Applied Theatre I/II
  (Applied courses in Theatre may be repeated up to six credits.)

• Two courses of any level in Fine Arts
  outside of the Theatre Arts Department

• THEA 488 Senior Capstone Experience

• Successful completion of
  oral review of Senior Project and
  Oral Comprehensive Examination
