Dr. Cornel West is a prominent and provocative democratic intellectual who is best known for his classic Race Matters, Democracy Matters and his new memoir Brother West: Living and Loving Out Loud, A Memoir.  He frequently appears on the Bill Maher Show, Colbert Report, CNN and C-Span as well as, Tavis Smiley’s PBS TV Show and PRI radio show Smiley and West.  West has appeared in over 25 documentaries and films including Matrix and Examined Life as well as three spoken word albums including Never Forget. Today’s lecture presentation is a tribute to Manning Marable ’71 and his book Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention.  www.cornelwest.com
