Earlham is one
of about 50 colleges nationwide that practice "need-blind" admissions,
admitting students without regard to need. Earlham's
goal in shaping a student's financial assistance package
is to enable each one to make a college choice based on the
college, and not just on cost.
 |
In 2007-08 86%
of Earlham students received some form of financial
aid from College-based
sources. |
Earlham's
endowment generates over $7 million each year to support
the College's academic programs and scholarships beyond
the amount gained from tuition charges and $1 million for
the Earlham School of Religion (ESR). The endowment provides
an additional $2 million in College and ESR scholarships
provided specifically by donors.
Among Wayne County's 10 largest employers,
Earlham shares its facilities, programs and expertise with
the Richmond community. The College's financial contribution
in goods and services purchased adds over $27 million to
the local economy. |
