Information Sessions

East Africa Program Information Session
Come learn about the East Africa Program where students spend time in both Tanzania and Kenya, including courses in history, politics, conservation, wildlife behavior, health and environment and Swahili culture and language. This Program fulfills a scientific inquiry general education credit and an AWP. The program is led by Sara Penhale and Allan Winkler of Miami University.

Day in Indianapolis and Pacers vs. Boston Celtics Basketball Game
Saturday, November 14, leave at 2pm, return around 11pm
Spend the afternoon in downtown Indianapolis and then enjoy the Pacers vs. Celtics basketball game at 7pm in Conseco Fieldhouse.
You will have to pay $15 when you sign up. This will give you a ticket to the game, a hot dog, bag of chips, drink and a t-shirt.
The sign up list will go up on Wednesday October 28 at 7.30 am.

International Dinner
Tuesday, November 24 at 6pm in the Orchard Room
Richmond/Wayne County Diversity Council invite you to participate in their international potluck. Bring a dish to share - an appetizer, main dish, salad, side dish, dessert, etc. and enjoy a delicious meal with other people from the community! No sign-up required.

Give Thanks and Give Back
Students are invited to spend Thanksgiving break giving back in Indianapolis. Students from across the state are coming together from Wednesday, November 25 through Saturday, November 28, to serve those in need in our capital city.

Students will perform two full days of service and then will have free time in Indianapolis on Saturday you.
The cost is $75 and this includes housing and food for all 4 days.
If you are interested and need transportation, please sign up on the sign-up sheet outside IPO, there are 11 spaces and you need to sign up by November 11.
