"The program is about getting to know a city...not just becoming familiar with its layout, but understanding its personality, its history, its problems, its triumphs, its soul." -2002 participant of the England Program

The England Program has a long history at Earlham. The first program took place in 1961 and the program has run continually since that time. Based in London, the program offers students the opportunity to study British politics, science, literature and theater; to participate in a volunteer capacity in an agency in London; to learn about and experience daily life through living in private homes; and to visit other areas of England such as Bath, Canterbury, and Stratford-upon-Avon.
