After three days of orientation, students will move to host families in Fort-de-France and Schoelcher. Relating to host families is central to the Program and is important for language aquisition and cultural immersion. Students will join in host family activities on weekends and eat breakfast and supper with them on weekdays. During the week, students will meet in Fort-de-France and Schoelcher for courses, lunch, and other activities. In Dominica, students may have the opportunity to stay with a host family for several nights, and during the internship, some may also have to move to new host families.
Students are responsible for arranging travel to and from Martinique.
