Your First College Year
Sponsored by the Higher Education Research
Institute (HERI), the Your First College Year (YFCY) survey was
designed for administration at the end of the first college year.
The results of the survey can be used to assess factors that are
important to first-year student academic performance, adjustment,
retention, and success. The YFCY can also serve as a follow-up survey
to the annual Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP)
Freshman Survey and is particularly valuable when linked to students'
responses to the CIRP.
