What do we have?
Our collection includes 16 millimeter movies,
CDs, DVDs, LPs, Laserdiscs, and VHS videos. We have over
1000
CDs from different cultures and musical traditions and over
5000 videos and DVDs in the collection. We have
several genres and languages represented in our collection,
as well as Earlham Events. Audio and video materials for specific
classes can also be found on Reserve.
How do I find what I am looking for?
You can use the on-line search engine Palni
to search our collection. Our circulation
staff will check out a music or visual selection
to you. If you have any questions concerning your media needs
please e-mail our Circulation
Supervisor.
General Circulation Information
Videos, DVDs, and Laserdiscs:
Checkout
times:
- 7 days
for faculty and staff
- 2 days for Earlham, ESR and Bethany students
- 4
hours in lab use for town patrons
Limit: 6 items for students. 50 for faculty.
Fines: $1.00 per day overdue.
Materials can be viewed
in the lab carrels. There are VCRs and DVD players that will
play all formats including International formats such as PAL
and SECAM.
16mm Films:
To schedule a viewing of a 16mm film please
contact our
Circulation Supervisor.
CDs and LPs:
Check out time: 7 days for everyone.
Limit: Students cannot have more than 6 audio
items in their account at a time.
Fines: $1.00 per day overdue.
Language Audiocassettes and Reserve
CDs and Videos:
Check out time: Reserve times
range from 2 hours - 2 days. Fines for all Reserve materials
are $1.00 per hour.
ITAM can often make duplications of a language materials
you need for your class. If you provide an audiocassette
there
is no
charge
for this.
WE DO NOT MAKE COPIES OF MUSIC TAPES.
We have several stations available for our patrons to listen
to any of our audio selections. We also provide headphones
for
our patrons should they not have their own. THESE HEADPHONES
ARE FOR LAB USE ONLY AND MAY NOT BE TAKEN OUTSIDE OF ITAM.
